What is Ragging?
Ragging includes disorderly conduct, whether by words, actions or in writing, that causes physical or psychological harm, fear, apprehension, humiliation or embarrassment to another student.
Forms of Ragging
- Physical: Assault, forced acts or physical abuse.
- Verbal: Abusive language, teasing or humiliation.
- Psychological: Intimidation, mental harassment or forcing tasks against a student's will.
Possible Disciplinary Action
- Suspension from classes and examinations
- Withholding of results or institutional privileges
- Cancellation of admission / rustication
- Expulsion from the institution
- Filing of FIR or criminal proceedings where applicable
